Hope B.C. -

Hopes a strange and Beautiful place with a town and surroundings reminiscent of the scenery in Twin Peaks, and just as creepy. Mostly a stopover heading into the interior. Formerly a logging town, without much logging it's mostly just a place for food and gas, the gas is much better than the food. Many of these small towns are being suburbified as they are within a couple hours of Vancouver. Some people even commute everyday into Vancouver to work which is absolutely crazy, but thats the way it's going around here. Before, I had driven through this place every summer, it was just a single street, a dark town hidden in a valley where they filmed First Blood. Now, having wandered and explored the area, it's still a dark town hidden in a valley, and it really does only have one main street, but nevertheless it's a beautiful area worth exploring.
