Washington Pass -
Surviving off coffee, a little bit of bacon and coconut milk, and unfortunately Sadie (the dog) was eating most of my bacon. I figured there are stores everywhere in America, so I neglected to pick up groceries on the way, apparently there are still places with no stores. This isn't the first time this has happend. On a past winter trip to Mt Baker we were snowed in with a broken down rv sustaining ourselves on beer and ramen noodles, which is what a lot of rock climbers eat all the time so I guess I shouldn't complain.
This was my first time visiting Washington Pass and it was truly beautiful and not that big of a drive from Vancouver. The road passes through some of the gnarliest peaks in the Cascades, not the tallest but quite majestic. Its quite unsual in B.C or Washington to be able to drive into areas like this without getting on logging roads. This trip was just camping and scrambling but I'll definitely be returning soon to climb some of these peaks, but next time with more bacon.
